Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring an EMG technician to assist with patient rooming, vital signs, and a full range of neurophysiologic tests including EMGs. You will prepare patients, operate equipment, document results, and coordinate scheduling and supplies in a clinical setting at the Hendersonville, NC facility.

The role requires 1+ year EMG experience or CNCT certification, high school grad or equivalent, and a BLS certification; AAET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Grad or Equiv.
• 1+ year EMG experience or certified nerve conduction technologist (CNCT).
• BLS Certification is required.
• Certification or eligible for AAET is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with rooming patients for appointments and collects vital signs.
• Performs neurological tests including nerve conduction studies and documents results.
• Prepares patients and explains procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Sets up and operates electrophysiology equipment and maintains hygiene of reusable electrodes.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates maintenance with vendors.
• Schedules EMG procedures and handles related clerical duties.
