Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Florida Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a Registered EMG Technologist to join the Wpb Neurology-Weston Hospital team. The role conducts electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) to assess muscle and nerve function, aiding in diagnosis, with training provided within a world-class system.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, perform tests, maintain equipment, and collaborate with caregivers to ensure accurate results.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited END program or a minimum of two years of college with anatomy and physiology
• Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist - RNCS T certification from AAET
• Two years of experience as a Non-Registered EMG Technician at CCF or a comparable laboratory
• Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology and science sufficient to assist with interpretation of test results and train non-registered technicians
• Knowledge of all EMG techniques to perform research, demonstrations and evaluate procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate the nerve conduction instrumentation.
• Ensure proper adjustments are made for accurate recording procedures.
• Select nerves to be studied by reviewing requests and patient history.
• Prepare patients for EMG examination.
• Record all pertinent test data at each stage of study.
• Instruct in the use of instrumentation and electrode techniques.
• Relate procedure to referring diagnosis and interpret data.
• Maintain clean rooms, electrodes, and equipment.
• Replenish supplies and ensure equipment maintenance.
