Job summary

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Group) invites qualified undergraduates to join its 2027 Winter Internship Program as an Intern Consultant. Based at Headquarters in Washington, D.C., the program offers hands-on learning in development work and corporate management, with on-the-job experience across laboratory projects.

Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate program in CS/DS/SE, fluent in English, and capable of contributing to documentation, demonstrations, and benchmarking

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate student in CS, DS, SE or related; graduation after internship.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of another Bank language (Spanish, French, Portuguese) is a plus.
• Ability to write clean, functional code in at least one language.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab; version control basics.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and connect different laboratory tools and systems.
• Develop clear documentation and tutorials for laboratory projects.
• Build demonstrations showing how multiple technologies work together.
• Develop benchmarking frameworks to evaluate technical approaches.
• Create educational materials to communicate projects, tools, and results.
