Job summary

The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation's effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives.

In this role, you will contribute to high-impact national security analyses, coordinate with ODNI and IC partners, and support senior policymakers with timely, policy-relevant intelligence outputs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in area of subject matter.
• Plan, research, develop, and write high-quality analyses, studies, projects, assignments, and briefings on key US foreign policy and national security objectives focused on a specific region or transnational issue for IC consumers and policymakers at the highest levels of government.
• Translate customer requirements into outputs meeting government needs.
• Knowledge of IC policy and analytic tradecraft; communicate intelligence information to generalists and specialists.
• Produce finished intelligence related to subject matter issues, either as lead analyst or manager of analysts, and broad knowledge of the role of intelligence analysis within the IC.
• Lead and promote the development and use of a broad range of methodological tools and approaches to research, analyze, and present data (modeling, link analysis, or software).
• Maintain and develop regular contacts within the ODNI and the IC for exchanging information.
• Flexibility and ability to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information and requirements; support group decisions and solicit opinions from coworkers.
• Oversee and direct information sharing programs and promote information sharing practices across the ODNI and IC.
• Analytic and critical thinking skills, including superior ability to think strategically.
• Execute senior-level guidance in a fast-paced environment and translate strategic goals into specific objectives with metrics.
• Interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills when working with high-level IC and government personnel.
• Work effectively both independently and in a team; mentor junior colleagues.
• Creative problem-solving skills and initiative in carrying out mission responsibilities.
• To be considered qualified, applicants must possess at least two years of experience as an all-source intelligence analyst at a national agency, federal or state law enforcement organization, or combatant command.
