Job summary

FirstEnergy Service Company seeks a Distribution Program Manager to coordinate multi-state regulatory compliance and energy infrastructure initiatives. The role supports DER, energy storage, grid modernization, electrification, and emerging technologies across FE territories.

Reporting location is flexible, with a focus on regulatory program strategy, planning, and stakeholder coordination. Travel may be required; strong communication with senior leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field and 5+ years in utility distribution.
• Experience leading regulatory responses and DER/energy storage initiatives.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, risk, and performance management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of FERC Order 2222 compliance activities across states.
• Manage DER interconnections programs, comments, RFIs, and filings.
• Oversee energy storage programs from charter to project construction.
• Direct cross-functional workgroups and consultant engagement for regulatory reporting.
• Ensure timely filings, track milestones and risk indicators; report progress.
