Oppenheimer & Co. Inc is seeking a Research Associate to join the Emerging Technologies and Services team in New York City.

You will work directly with a Senior Analyst to cover a high-growth universe spanning electronic components, consumer hardware, and digital media, including video games and mobile AdTech, using rigorous financial modeling and evidence-based investment writing. Qualifications

Finance background with ability to build 3-statement models in Excel.
Clear writing of research reports under time constraints.
Curiosity and nimbleness to update views with new facts.
Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Equity research or related fields in gaming, consumer electronics, or semiconductors preferred.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Analyst in developing and marketing equity research products and thematic analysis.
Build and maintain integrated income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow models.
Organize proprietary industry data sets and valuation comps to support investment theses.
Initiate and complete research projects with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
Communicate strong, well-reasoned investment opinions through writing and collaboration.
