Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an Emerging Talent Intern for Emergency Management. The role focuses on supporting grant research, training coordination, and data management for emergency preparedness within the OEM division.

Onsite internship with attendance at Hillside Support Facility Building. Candidates must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies with applicable GPA requirements and be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Independent worker who also contributes as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support like scheduling meetings and preparing presentations.
• Assist with OSHA Title 29 CFR Part 1910 Subpart E compliance documentation.
• Identify potential grant funding opportunities and track eligibility criteria.
• Organize grant submissions, collect required documents, and maintain records.
• Coordinate trainings, track attendance, and manage logistics with trainers.
• Maintain project timelines, filing systems, budgets, and reporting metrics.
• Create accessible repositories for plans, contact lists, SOPs, and inventories.
• Deliver a final 30-minute PowerPoint presentation detailing achievements and learnings.
