Responsibilities
- Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on Pharmacy and Retail Store operations.
- Supports Store Manager in overall store operations to achieve company goals; shares responsibilities during alternate schedules; takes on store activities in the Manager's absence. Ensures proper merchandising, asset protection, and enhances sales and profitability.
- Leads and manages team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline, to ensure engagement and performance.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers, resolves complaints, and models customer service best practices.
- Monitors service quality, provides coaching, and develops improvement plans to exceed customer expectations and build loyalty.
Operations
- Supervises store operations, assigns daily activities, manages scheduling, and oversees inventory and cash management.
- Collaborates with external partners and supports community outreach initiatives.
- Uses data and team input to make informed decisions and monitor impact.
Business Performance Management
- Analyzes financial and performance data to create action plans for store improvement.
- Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician if needed.
People & Performance Management
- Leads and trains team members, manages performance, and recruits talent to ensure a diverse pipeline of future leaders.
- Follows proper procedures for recruitment, training, and record retention.
Training & Personal Development
- Completes Store Manager training programs and ongoing development courses.
- Maintains pharmacy technician license as required.
Communications
- Maintains open communication with team members and assists in planning store strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with leadership abilities and strong communication skills.
- Completion of Store Manager training or willingness to complete it within 12 weeks.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico), flexible schedule, and willingness to relocate or transfer within Walgreens assets.
