Overview

As an Emerging Store Leader at Family Dollar, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within your assigned stores while preparing for a future role as Store Manager. This position offers leadership development, teamwork collaboration, and career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with store procedures, processes, and associate training
• Support staffing, store operations, and asset protection efforts
• Promote excellent customer service and a positive team environment
• Help with inventory management and store readiness functions
• Provide flexible support for daily store needs, including store recovery and coverage for absences
• Support store office setup and supervisory tasks as needed
• Travel up to 50% to support multiple store locations
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives
• Retail management experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and climbing
• Flexible full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Relationship management skills are essential
