Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Store Manager-level candidate to supervise customer service associates and drive overall store performance. You will support the Store Manager, oversee front-end and pharmacy operations, and lead a team to achieve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and performance management, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, all majors welcome OR satisfied Walgreens Community Internship Program OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of supervisory experience.
• Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of ESM start date.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, which could require relocation to a different store location.
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Supervises customer service associates and front-end/store operations to meet company deliverables.
• Supports Store Manager in overall operation and provides data-driven decision support.
• Leads recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline for team members.
• Engages customers and patients, resolves complaints, and models service best practices.
• Coaches team on customer service improvements and drives loyalty and satisfaction.
• Oversees merchandising, assets protection, inventory, and price changes to support store profitability.
• Analyzes financials and KPIs to identify opportunities and execute improvement plans.
• Manages store cash handling, scheduling, and compliance with policies.
