Job summary

Aligned Data Centers in Plano, TX is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect to support Solutions Architects by producing technical sales collateral, markup drawings, and maintaining the technical record from qualification through execution.

This development path builds your knowledge of data center design, power topology, cooling, site infrastructure, and delivery sequencing while you learn to translate technical decisions into commercial terms for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in data center or adjacent fields.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and one-line diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and markup tools (Bluebeam/AutoCAD viewers).
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical deliverables and deal documentation.
• Markup site plans, layouts, and diagrams reflecting customer configurations.
• Build customer-facing and internal materials, including exhibits and responses.
• Maintain version-controlled technical files and reports for opportunities.
• Support Solutions Architects across the pre‑sale lifecycle.
• Track questions and ensure timely resolution and accountability.
• Collaborate with the account team on CRM hygiene and meeting prep.
• Attend deal reviews, customer calls, and site tours to learn deal architecture.
• Develop familiarity with data center design standards and commercial impact.
