Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Pastoral Care CPE Chaplain Trainee to provide pastoral care and spiritual support to patients, family members, and staff within the healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient interaction and participation in on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and have at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent leadership experience. Strong crisis care and counseling skills are also essential for this position.

Qualifications

• At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent faith group leadership experience.
• Knowledge of crisis care and counseling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as requested for emergent and routine requests.
• Participates in on-call rotation including overnight and weekend shifts.
• Provides appropriate religious/spiritual rituals and interventions.
• Provides care in diverse acute/non-acute settings.
