Pipestone Emerging Leader - Fox Ridge LLC is an onsite, full-time program aimed at cultivating future leaders within Pipestone Management. The role focuses on hands-on swine production, leadership development, and multi-location exposure.

Participants engage in online courses and practical farm experiences, covering farrowing, gestation, gilt development, and related procedures, while adhering to safety and biosecurity protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in swine production.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Farm-based setting with exposure to livestock, odors, dust, and varying temperatures in rural areas.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop leadership skills in production and employee engagement.
• Enhance leadership, management, and organizational skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
• Gain practical experience in top swine facilities and become proficient in animal husbandry.
• Relocate to various locations and states to broaden horizons and experience different management styles.
• Learn and follow all production, safety, human resources, and biosecurity protocols to maximize sow and gilt production efficiency.
• Develop the ability to communicate effectively with area employees and farm management, providing input on production and animal health concerns.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and timely and understand how individual performance affects the organization’s finances.
• Adhere to all biosecurity, animal welfare and safety protocols and work with team members to ensure compliance.
