Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co in Manassas, VA is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to help coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and schedules for commercial landscape installation projects. You will work closely with the Production Manager, Project Manager, and field teams to learn production planning, safety, quality control, and customer service while supporting on‑time, on‑budget project execution.

• Professional attitude and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (past three years).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PM software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards.
• Assist in creating a safe work environment and reinforce safety standards.
• Participate in pre‑job meetings, start‑ups, scheduling, logistics, punch lists, and closeouts.
• Assist with scheduling, time entry, field reporting, and labor coordination.
• Coordinate equipment rentals, fleet use, PO processing, and invoicing.
• Coordinate labor, materials, deliveries, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain schedules.
• Support subcontractor/vendor management, quotes, and invoices.
• Maintain records, drawings, logs, and project updates for change orders and documentation.
• Collaborate with Production/Project Managers and field teams on planning and communication.
