Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc. in Boston, MA seeks an Entry-Level Land Surveyor to gain hands-on experience on transportation and infrastructure projects. You will assist with field surveys, boundary research, mapping, and stakeout while learning from seasoned surveyors and engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying or related field preferred.
• Internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Basic surveying principles and field procedures understood.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveys for boundary, topographic, construction, utility, and ALTA/NSPS projects.
• Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, data collectors, and levels.
• Collect accurate field measurements and survey data.
• Assist in preparing survey maps, plats, sketches, and legal descriptions.
• Conduct deed and boundary research using public records.
• Process and verify field data using surveying software.
• Support drone, LiDAR, and reality capture efforts when applicable.
• Maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures during field operations.
• Coordinate with survey crews, engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Assist with quality control reviews of survey deliverables.
