Title: Account Associate

As an Account Associate, you will join our Emerging Insurance Professionals Program, a structure learning and development experience designed to introduce you to the insurance industry and prepare you for a successful career in client service and account management.

Over the course of this program, you will gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced insurance professionals while building the technical knowledge, industry expertise, and professional skills needed to thrive in the insurance field. Participants will work toward obtaining their Property & Casualty (P&C) License and follow a developmental pathway designed to prepare them for increasing responsibility and future advancement opportunities within the agency.

Whether you are beginning your career or looking to transition into a new profession, this role provides the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a rewarding future in the insurance industry.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Associate, you will provide administrative and technical support to Account Managers while developing your understanding of insurance operations, client service, and agency procedures.

Client & Account Support
  • Assist Account Managers with an assigned book of business while ensuring exceptional service and timely follow-up.
  • Process account activity including renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and policy changes.
  • Maintain accurate client information and account documentation within the Agency Management System.
  • Clearly document all written and verbal communications.
Policy & Renewal Processing
  • Complete front-end account processing using established agency procedures.
  • Retrieve renewal information from carrier websites when downloads are unavailable and route materials appropriately.
  • Manage carrier activity reports and policy cancellation downloads.
  • Contact clients as needed regarding policy reinstatements, cancellations, or rapid documentation.
Claims & Administrative Support
  • Review, update, and distribute incoming claims information according to agency standards.
  • Evaluate claims for closure, referral, transfer opportunities, and inactivity.
  • Support Sales Professionals and Account Managers by assisting with coverage reviews, quotations, and client service needs.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and performing data processing activities.
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, insurance carriers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Contribute to a client-focused culture by identifying opportunities to enhance service and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with team members while supporting agency goals and service standards.
Operational Excellence
  • Prioritize work effectively to ensure timely, accurate completion of responsibilities.
  • Follow agency and departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be willing to obtain Property & Casualty Agents License and/or Health & Life Agents License within 12 months of hire.
  • Previous administration and/or customer service experience preferred.

  • This position frequently communicates with clients who have inquiries about their policy, invoicing, and claims. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This includes repeating motions that involve the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Position may require the employee to ascend and/or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like.
  • Fast-paced environment with a high volume of work to be completed daily.
  • Limited physical effort required or exposure to physical risk. However, must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
