ExxonMobil in Spring, TX is seeking a hands-on laboratory scientist to advance CO₂ capture technologies by building components and evaluating materials. You will analyze data and ensure high-quality outputs to support project teams from concept to pilot readiness.

You will collaborate with scientists to design, prototype, and test next-generation carbon capture devices, while evaluating novel materials and ensuring safety and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in science; chemistry/physics/materials science accepted.
• Attention to detail and laboratory procedure compliance required.
• Willingness to engage in exploratory research across divisions.

Responsabilités

• Perform hands-on laboratory work, execute standardized and custom electrochemical tests, analyze data, and ensure high quality technical output that enables project teams to advance technology development.
• Build and evaluate physical components, subsystems, and integrated prototypes to advance new CO₂ capture technologies from concept to pilot readiness.
• Evaluate new proppant materials and mechanisms.
• Support research, development, and characterization activities related to electrochemical systems.
• Collaborate with scientists to design, prototype, and test next-generation carbon capture devices.
• Support evaluation of novel materials (sorbents, solvents, membranes, coatings).
