Job summary

RenewCO2 is seeking a hands-on Chemical/Electrochemical Technician to help build, test, and optimize CO2 conversion processes. You will work closely with chemists and engineers to advance science and product development in a fast-paced startup setting.

The role requires 1+ years in analytical labs, experience with hazardous materials, and strong data analysis skills. You will participate in electrochemical testing, documentation, and collaboration across teams to scale up processes and ensure

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in an analytical or wet lab setting (preference for cell or battery characterization).
• Strong data analysis skills (Excel at minimum).
• Experience handling hazardous materials.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced startup atmosphere with attention to detail.
• Judgment and action skills to solve problems.
• Fundamental understanding of laboratory equipment and good laboratory practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple experiments.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute electrochemical testing and fabrication, including cell construction and electrode coating.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and material samples.
• Operate and maintain electrochemical testing equipment.
• Calibrate critical lab equipment, conduct routine testing, and maintain laboratory supplies.
• Perform a variety of laboratory experiments using routine (GC, HPLC, chronoamperometry, chronopotentiometry) and special techniques.
• Record, organize, and document procedures and results.
• Support scale-up activities and process optimization efforts.
• Comply with all safety and control standards.
• Communicate technical information and results to team members.
