Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball in North Carolina seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support design, pre-construction and construction phases. You will assist with scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and bid processes, coordinating with the design team and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction, can read drawings, and may lead projects up to $2.5M. BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience, and strong MS Office skills are valued.

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
• 2+ years of experience in the construction field and may lead projects up to $2.5M in scope.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
• Reviews drawings for correctness.
• Develops relationships with sub-contractors and collects bid information.
• Assist with monthly WIP reports and budgeting.
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
• Travel to job site locations to review progress and provide solutions.
