The role demands a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited), 0–2 years’ experience, ability to work on site in all weather, and a valid driver’s license with regional travel.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required or equivalent
• 0–2 years of construction-related experience
• Must be able to work on a construction site in inclement weather
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and region travel

Responsibilities

• Monitor work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction
• Monitor contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms and specifications
• Provide general inspection on construction labor and subcontracted tasks
• Provide reports of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received
• Ensure construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into the project conform to the project material specifications
• Perform on-site material testing and verification
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
• Create and compile close out or final construction records documents for submission
