gpac is seeking a Junior Commercial Litigation Associate in Houston to join a nationally recognized litigation boutique with a strong Texas presence. You will gain meaningful courtroom exposure while supporting senior trial lawyers on sophisticated commercial disputes across industries.

The role offers hands-on experience in discovery, pleadings, and strategy development, with opportunities to handle diverse matters for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license (or ability to become licensed promptly).
• 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, legal research, and client communications.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial, arbitration, or deposition experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery and document review.
• Prepare witnesses, experts, and clients for depositions and hearings.
• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate closely with experienced litigators on sophisticated, high-value matters.
