Job summary

Riverence is seeking an Aquaculture Technician in Training to join our team in the Magic Valley region. You will perform daily farm chores, including feeding, mortality removal, and screen scrubbing, while learning facility operations and safety procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Drivers license and physical lifting may be involved; prior aquaculture experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• The ability to speak, read, understand and follow directions is required.
• Driver’s license with reliable transportation to the work site is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Aquaculture experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily farm chores including feeding, mortality removal and screen scrubbing.
• Monitor fish behavior and report abnormalities to supervisor.
• Assist with fish transfers and routine maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Maintain biosecurity and sanitation procedures on the farm.
• Work in outdoor environments and comply with safety guidelines.
