Riverence is seeking an Aquaculture Technician in Training to learn fish husbandry, support daily farm chores, and assist with feeding and mortality removal. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and a willingness to take on any farm task.

You will work outdoors in varying conditions and gain hands-on experience in a multi-facility aquaculture operation. Ideal candidates will be eager to learn, work well in a team, and help maintain biosecurity and equipment across farm sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, understand and follow directions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Driver’s license and good driving record required with reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• High school Education or GED preferred.
• Aquaculture experience preferred.
• Aquaculture or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Feed and monitor fish, remove mortalities, and perform routine farm chores.
• Maintain pond hygiene and biosecurity practices.
• Assist with fish transfers and record mortalities.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment and systems.
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in training.
• Monitor fish behavior and report abnormalities to supervisor.
• Understand farm sections, ponds, and rearing areas.
• Support truck and site maintenance as needed.
