Job summary

Midwest Heritage, a Hy-Vee Company, is seeking a Junior Lender in the Banking department. This role blends credit analysis with relationship development to support growing Ag/Commercial portfolios.

You will prepare risk-informed credit write-ups and cultivate local client networks, while collaborating with loan operations to ensure proper documentation. The position emphasizes building community ties and maintaining compliance across lending activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in agricultural and/or commercial lending or credit analysis.
• Valid driver’s license required; must meet criteria for use of a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lending: meet or exceed loan, fee income, and deposit production goals while complying with laws and policies.
• Independently prepare and present basic to moderately complex credit write-ups, including risk summaries and loan structure recommendations.
• Build strong community relationships to promote Midwest Heritage through professional and civic organizations.
• Collaborate across Midwest Heritage lines to provide holistic financial services to Ag/Commercial clients.
• Partner with Loan Operations to ensure timely and accurate documentation, minimizing technical exceptions.
