Job summary

Animal Medical Center of Seattle, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks an Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join the Emergency & ICU team in Shoreline, WA. This full-time role covers overnight shifts (Sat–Tue, 9pm–8am) at a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving the Seattle area.

You’ll perform triage, nursing care, and advanced treatments, collaborating with veterinarians and staff while advancing your skills and pursuing VTS credentials with mentorship and incentives.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State LVT license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• ER, ICU, or specialty experience preferred; willing to train and invest in the right motivated candidate.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with interest in continued learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and assessment of incoming emergency patients.
• Provide nursing care and continuous monitoring for critically ill and hospitalized patients.
• Administer medications, fluid therapy, blood products, and advanced treatments.
• Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia, and sedation.
• Perform laboratory sample collection, testing, and radiology support.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients throughout the patient stay.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
