MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is seeking an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team in Columbus, OH. The role includes rounds, case discussions, anesthesia and nursing care for hospitalized patients, and client education.

Required RVT license, prior emergency experience preferred, and strong communication skills. We offer a $1,000 signing bonus, health benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Formación

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; emergency experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRI, unit conversions).
• Flexible with hours and able to work additional shifts as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessary.
• Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment.
• Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concerns.
• Provide client education including home care instructions, medications and wellness updates on hospitalized patients.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing.
