Innovetive Petcare’s Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville, FL is hiring a Veterinary Technician Assistant / Veterinary Technician to join a 24/7 Emergency and Critical Care Team. No credentialing or ER experience required; candidates with Veterinary Assistant backgrounds who want to grow are encouraged to apply.

You’ll support emergency and critical care patients, triage, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and client communication while growing your technical skills in

Qualifications

• Credentialing and prior ER experience are not required.
• Looking for Veterinary Assistants or developing technicians who are eager to learn.
• Comfortable with patient care and taking on responsibility.
• Willingness to work overnight and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency, urgent, and critical care patients
• Handle patient intake, triage, vitals, and monitoring
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Assist with medications, treatments, and nursing care
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with recovery
• Conduct in-house lab tests and diagnostics
• Assist with radiology and imaging
• Assist with surgical and emergency procedures
• Provide compassionate client communication and patient support

Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant / Veterinary Technician to join our growing Emergency and Critical Care Team.

If you have a foundation in veterinary medicine and want to build your technical skills in Emergency Medicine, we want to meet you.

Credentialing and prior ER experience are not required. We’re especially interested in Veterinary Assistants and developing technicians who are comfortable with patient care, eager to learn, and ready to take on more responsibility.

As the only 24/7 Emergency Veterinary Hospital serving Niceville and the Emerald Coast, we care for pets when they need us most — including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience, you’ll have opportunities to support:

• Emergency, urgent, and critical care patients
• Patient intake, triage, vitals, and monitoring
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Medications, treatments, and nursing care
• Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
• In-house laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Radiology and imaging
• Surgical and emergency procedures
• Client communication and compassionate patient support

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Nurse, or similar clinical role
• Hands-on experience with patient handling, restraint, treatments, and nursing care
• Experience with venipuncture, IVCs, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, or hospitalized patients is a plus
• Emergency, critical care, urgent care, specialty, or high-volume GP experience preferred for more advanced roles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Availability for overnight and weekend shifts

• Overnight and weekend team members are eligible for shift differential pay.

Compensation

• $18–$20/hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Credentialed technicians with strong experience may be considered at a higher rate.
• Relocation assistance may also be available for experienced credentialed technicians considering a move to the Florida Panhandle.
