Job summary

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Port Washington, WI seeks experienced Certified Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Urgent Care department. Sign On Bonus up to $2,000 for qualified candidates.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday and Tuesday with rotating Friday/Saturday. You will triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, monitor vitals, and assist with anesthesia, patient care, and client communication in a fast-paced hospital.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician with current credentials.
• Experience in emergency/urgent care setting preferred.
• Ability to triage, monitor vitals and respond to critical cases.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Obtain and interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian of changes.
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and sedation as needed.
• Phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Mentor and train other team members; support client communication.
