Job summary

MedVet in Dallas, TX is seeking a Nursing Clinical Supervisor to oversee the Clinical Services team in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary setting. You will supervise staff on shift, coordinate care, and mentor team members to ensure treatment plans are executed correctly.

Ideal candidates have prior veterinary and emergency experience, strong calculation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required, previous emergency experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager and functions as a scheduled team member.
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift.
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members on shift and assigns responsibilities.
• Addresses process or employee issues during shift and communicates schedule changes to the Clinical Manager.
• Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations.
• Trains and mentors new team members.
• Provides input on team member performance evaluations.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities and meetings.
