VCA Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT, is seeking an ER Liaison — a Veterinary Technician or Assistant who thrives on connection as much as clinical care. This full-time position offers 4x10-hour shifts (Wed–Sat) with a pay range of $22–$25 per hour, based on skill and experience.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Ability to translate medical and financial information clearly for clients.
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials welcomed; compassionate, organized candidate.

Responsabilidades

• Bridge communication between the emergency doctor, the client, and the patient’s primary care veterinarian.
• Set clear expectations for patient stays from presentation through discharge.
• Keep clients informed at every step, coordinating with front desk, technicians, doctors, and specialists.
• Field and route incoming calls, serving as a steady contact for pet owners and referring vets.
• Deliver progress updates, help fill prescriptions, and support clients visiting hospitalized pets.
• Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and logs of correspondence.
• Walk families through difficult moments and guide them through the euthanasia process with care.
