Job summary

Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) in West Springfield, MA, recently opened a brand-new 12,000 sq ft facility equipped with CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and ICU capabilities. We seek an Emergency Veterinarian Lead to build and nurture a world-class ER team in a growing practice.

The role focuses on ER doctor scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentorship, with collaboration with the Medical Director and Hospital Director to maintain a positive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• DVM licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
• Experience leading an emergency veterinary team.
• Strong mentorship and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day ER workflow, including scheduling and staffing of doctors.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and train team members; lead regular department meetings.
• Provide mentorship and oversight to doctors and support staff in collaboration with Medical Director and Hospital Director.
