Job summary

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider seeking a Veterinary Clinical Manager to lead and coach the clinical team, ensuring the MedVet Experience is delivered with excellence. You will develop schedules, collaborate across departments, and manage resources while guiding onboarding and ongoing performance feedback.

This role blends clinical and administrative duties, promoting an engaging Employee Experience and operational efficiency across hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent college coursework and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital, with after-hours and weekend coverage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure department has resources and tools to deliver the MedVet Experience.
• Coach team on fundamentals of process improvement, ensuring the department operates efficiently and sustainably.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Make recommendations in collaboration with the service/department representative for the purchase of needed supplies and equipment.
• Manage and influence department financial decisions and health.
• Provide onboarding training schedule for all team members.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback, instruction, and follow-up to team members.
• Negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with HR.
• Screen client and referral partner concerns and collaborate with the hospital to resolve.
• Provide written performance feedback and development plans annually for each member.
• Attract and retain exceptional team members by providing meaningful work, career growth, and ongoing development.
• Split time between clinical and administrative duties with a minimum of 50% admin time.
