Responsibilities

• Treat every patient with compassion and care.
• Perform basic to intermediate nursing tasks and monitor patients.
• Triage incoming patients using knowledge of common diseases and monitoring parameters.
• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular and IV medications; monitor for adverse effects.
• Set up and monitor IV fluid therapy and transfusions.
• Collaborate with nursing and veterinary teams for inpatient/outpatient care.
• Participate in rounds to ensure continuity of care.
• Learn CPR as RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
• Collect samples and perform in-house diagnostics, including imaging.
• Assist in anesthesia with LVT or DVM supervision.
• Manage urinary catheters and oxygen therapy setups.
• Work with licensed veterinary technicians as part of the team.
• Pursue growth paths such as technician credentialing and leadership.
