Job summary

Bellevue Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our emergency team. You will assist DVMs and LVTs, manage triage, support treatment areas, and communicate care plans to pet parents.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years in emergency care; NAVTA-certified programs are preferred. This on-site role offers growth within a collaborative, patient-centered hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program preferred.
• 1-2 years of emergency/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with emergency procedures and medical care.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and stock of supplies.
• Perform triage, history taking, basic nursing care, and patient discharges.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and post-care instructions.
