PetVet Care Centers' Pacific & Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists in Santa Cruz, California, is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with DVMs and LVTs to deliver urgent care in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an assistant in veterinary field.
• Experience in triage, Sub-Q injections, history taking, restraint, assisting with exams and radiographs.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet clients and guide them to exam rooms, recording weights and vital signs.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Assist with lab tests and radiographs; maintain clean, organized records.
• Maintain hospital equipment and safety, and educate clients as needed.
• Support doctors and technicians with patient care throughout shifts.
