Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our Spring, TX hospital. You will respond to emergencies, perform urgent surgeries, and provide compassionate care to diverse pets.

Qualifications

• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Thrive in team-oriented environments with mentorship and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients right away as part of VEG Triage and VEG Spikes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and physical exam.
• Conduct physical examinations and related investigations (ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, biopsies).
• Create a diagnostic and therapeutic plan and communicate options to customers.
• Prepare estimates and present them to customers.
• Maintain and review medical records for accuracy.
• Educate customers on tests, treatments, and aftercare.
• Perform minor and major emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
