Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Texas is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian who thrives on helping people and their pets during critical moments. You’ll manage emergencies, perform surgeries, and communicate diagnoses and options with empathy, while growing through VEG Education programs and unlimited ER CE.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Emergency medicine experience including surgery and endoscopy desirable.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg (40 kg with assistance).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone and triage patients.
• See patients and perform exams, surgeries, and endoscopic procedures as needed.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam findings.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment options with clients.
