Ethos Veterinary Health's Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital in West Bridgewater, MA is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian. This full-time role features a salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 plus production and a sign-on bonus, with a schedule centered on overnights to provide essential emergency care.

You will join a collaborative team of ER clinicians, nurses, and specialists, with mentorship via ER Immerse, ABVP guided program for experienced E.R.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
• Mentorship options are available through ER Immerse for new grads and crossovers from GP or urgent care.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Receive new emergency cases, triage, and manage hospitalized patients throughout treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to deliver compassionate patient care.

Ideal for any emergency practitioners within the Ethos network looking to deepen their expertise in emergency practice. In your day-to-day, you will:

• Work a consistent, predictable overnight schedule.
• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Cut soft tissue surgeries, if desired, with additional training and support available.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
