Join Our Emergency & Critical Care Team at Avets!

Avets is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join our established and dedicated team of experienced Emergency Doctors and Specialists in our 19,000 square foot facility, located near Pittsburgh, PA.

About Us:

Our 24/7 Specialty & Emergency Trauma Center has been serving the community for over 20 years! The state-of-the-art facility, built in 2021, includes a 16-slice CT, 1.5 Tesla MRI, a dedicated ICU for critical patients, and two isolation wards.

Avets offers a comprehensive range of specialty services, including Acupuncture, Avian & Exotics, Anesthesia, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Surgery, and Radioactive Iodine Therapy. We foster a collaborative culture where team members support each other and share expertise openly.

Our commitment to education is demonstrated through hospital-wide support of our specialty and rotating internship programs, which include protected time for didactic rounds and digital resources connecting our team to Ethos specialists. Our VTS (ECC) training coordinators oversee a program designed to equip support staff with the skills needed for excellent patient care.

Schedule:

The schedule for our Emergency Doctors involves 10 shifts over 4 weeks, including rotating weekend and holiday shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience or internship training. Mentorship options are available for new graduates with a strong emergency background.
