Apex Vets is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our independent specialty hospital. You will provide high-quality emergency care, manage critical cases, and work with specialists to deliver advanced diagnostics and treatment.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland.
• Prior emergency medicine experience required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to participate in a shared weekend rotation.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage outpatient and hospitalized emergency cases.
• Perform emergency procedures including centeses, CPR, wound repair, and stabilization.
• Interpret diagnostics including laboratory work, radiographs, and point-of-care ultrasound (AFAST/TFAST).
• Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians.
• Collaborate with specialists and nursing staff on complex cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
