Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to diagnose, stabilize, and treat critically ill small animals. You will lead fast decision-making, manage urgent surgical cases, and communicate compassionately with pet owners during difficult times.

You will be supported by skilled technicians and staff who share dedication to emergency medicine, with opportunities for CE funds and a competitive commission-based pay structure.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) is required.
Current license to practice in Florida is required.
DEA license and ability to dispense/prescribe controlled substances.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, stabilize, and treat critically ill and injured small animal patients.
Maintain full medical authority and responsibility over patients.
Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis clearly with clients.
Collaborate with veterinary nurses, technicians, and staff to deliver care.
Maintain thorough medical records in compliance with policies.
Continue professional development to stay current in emergency medicine.
