- Seeking full-time or part-time experienced emergency veterinarians
- Work a balanced rotation of day, swing, and overnight shifts
- 6-9 shifts/month for part-time, 10-12/month for full time doctors
- If you like overnights, overnight-exclusive ER role is an option, commanding higher salary and bonus structure
- Opportunity to seamlessly pick-up open shifts across all 5 SAGE ER/Specialty hospitals within 45 minute drive across the Bay Area for added flexible income

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Completion of a rotating internship or 3+ experience practicing emergency medicine is required.
- Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
