Job summary

Ethos is seeking a veterinarian to join our Campbell, CA emergency team, delivering high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.

The role requires a DVM or equivalent and eligibility for state licensure, with internship or equivalent emergency experience preferred. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with supportive colleagues, advanced diagnostics, and ongoing opportunities for professional growth.

  • Completion of rotating internship or 2+ years emergency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and hospitalization management.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
  • Communicate empathetically with pet owners.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

$200,000 plus production and incentives
Full-time opportunity in Campbell, CA
Schedule:12 shifts per month, 3-4 will include overnights in rotation

  • Quality diagnostics and treatment offerings including full onsite lab, specialty or radiology level ultrasound 6 days per week, POCUS, ventilator support, high flow oxygen, access to CT scan
  • Enjoy down-the-hall access to our amazing Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Physical Rehabilitation departments.

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or 2+ experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
