Job summary

SAGE Veterinary Centers- Dublin is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our Dublin, CA team. We offer a high-level, compassionate environment with 24/7 anesthesia support and access to specialists within our Bay-area network.

You will manage a diverse emergency caseload, deliver urgent and critical care, and work closely with our skilled staff to provide outstanding patient care and client communication. A competitive compensation package is available.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Rotating internship or 2+ years of emergency medicine experience required.
• Strong communication and client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through triage, stabilization, and patient management.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful times.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture built on collaboration and learning.

Schedule:10 shifts per month, 2 weekends a month

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or 2+ experience practicing emergency medicine is required.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
