Job summary

Global Talent Partners represents a leading 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital serving the greater Washington Metropolitan area, seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join its growing team. You’ll provide immediate, high-quality care from triage to discharge or hospitalization, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • DVM, VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
  • Active veterinary license in the state of employment and in good standing.
  • Emergency medicine experience or completion of a small animal rotating or emergency internship is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Rapid triage and critical patient assessment.
  • Diagnosing complex emergency cases.
  • Developing and overseeing treatment plans.
  • Managing hospitalized patients.
  • Performing emergency and soft-tissue surgeries.
  • Providing clinical care and stabilization and communicating with clients during high-stress situations.
  • Collaborating with specialists and referring veterinarians.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of patient and client care.

Global Talent Partners is pleased to represent a leading 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital serving the greater Washington Metropolitan area, seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join its growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and wants access to strong mentorship, advanced training and a collaborative network of veterinary professionals.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide immediate, high-quality care to sick and injured companion animals, managing cases from initial triage and assessment through diagnosis, treatment and discharge or ongoing hospitalization.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Rapid triage and critical patient assessment
  • Diagnosing complex emergency cases
  • Developing and overseeing treatment plans
  • Managing hospitalized patients
  • Performing emergency and soft-tissue surgeries
  • Providing critical care and stabilization
  • Working closely with experienced veterinary technicians
  • Communicating clearly with clients during high-stress situations
  • Collaborating with specialists and referring veterinarians
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of patient and client care

The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing an important emergency resource to pets and their families throughout the greater Washington Metropolitan area.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a confident veterinarian who enjoys the pace and clinical variety of emergency medicine and is committed to delivering excellent patient care during critical moments.

Requirements include:
  • DVM, VMD or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Active veterinary license in the state of employment and in good standing
  • Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Emergency medicine experience or completion of a small animal rotating or emergency internship is highly recommended
