Arizona Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center - Buckeye in Litchfield Park, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join our growing team. This role offers a 12:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Arizona veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred, or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Collaborate with board-certified specialists in Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dentistry, and Radiology.
  • Work closely with experienced technicians, Doctor’s Assistants, veterinarians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Participate in collaborative case discussions, weekly rounds, and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of our emergency service and a positive hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

In your day-to-day, you will:
