Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a dedicated emergency veterinarian for our Campbell, CA hospital. This full-time role offers 12 shifts per month, with 3–4 overnight shifts rotating to provide comprehensive 24/7 ER coverage.

You will join a highly capable team delivering compassionate, high-caliber care to diverse emergency cases. We value clinical excellence, ongoing professional growth, and collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Rotating internship or 2+ years practicing emergency medicine preferred.
• Strong communication skills with a client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through triage, receiving new cases, and managing hospitalized patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners in stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.

In Your Day-to-day, You Will

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or 2+ experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
