MedVet in Chicago is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER and specialty teams. You will assist the DVM, monitor patients, perform in-house testing, and provide client education to pet families.

State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred; prior emergency experience and strong communication skills are required. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Emergency experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, dosages) and unit conversions.
• Flexible with work hours and able to handle fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather information.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Coordinate with care team on treatment plans and client communication.
• Educate clients on home care, medications, and hospital care.
