Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as an Emergency Veterinary Technician or similar role.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and use related equipment.
• Competent in triage and handling emergency cases.
• Strong understanding of vital signs and patient monitoring.
• Capable of CPR and critical care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia using monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and obtain vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs.
• Obtain and interpret BP and vital signs; alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Perform medical math and administer medications appropriately.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement proficiency.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train coworkers.
• Show empathy to address client concerns.
