Veterinary Emergency Group seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Full-Time) in Carle Place, NY. You’ll work on the front lines of emergency care, performing triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical nursing with a supportive team.

You will handle IVs, diagnostics, and treatments while communicating clearly with pet parents and collaborating with doctors. This role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and a high-energy ER environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice is required.
• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a noisy, fast-paced ER.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support, and maintain patient and client communication.
• Engage in procedures from IVs to blood transfusions and post-care monitoring.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure smooth care flow.
• Utilize advanced techniques and equipment as needed in emergency care.
